Animal Experience Enrichment Specialist

COMBINE YOUR PASSION WITH A PURPOSE in our Animal Experience Department

Our Animal Experience (AX) Department is committed to providing our animals with an Excellent Experience Every Time. As a member of this team, you provide our pets with mental and physical enrichment opportunities to help them cope with the potential stressors of the shelter environment. Our AX program is built on creating a fear free environment for our entire shelter population while also customizing care to meet each animals unique needs. This holistic approach is only possible through collaboration between Animal Care, Volunteers, and the Animal Experience team, and our AX Specialist plays a key role in making that collaboration possible.

As the Southwest's largest shelter-based trauma hospital, your work will give second chances to pets who are routinely euthanized at other shelters across the country. You will be able to save pets like Little Foot (click here to watch his story).
